My painting of the month June 2015.||| This painting shows us the lamentable situation of Syrian refugees : women trying to save their child, their future. What can they do else? It is an heroique act , executed always again by women in history.

This painting shows us the lamentable situation of Syrian refugees : women trying to save their child, their future. What can they do else? It is an heroique act , executed always again by women in history.
Dit is een werk dat de erbarmelijke situatie midden 2014 in Syrië aan de kaakt stelt. Vrouwen vluchten, brengen een kind ( de toekomst) in veiligheid , een heldendaad in deze omstandigheden die altijd opnieuw door vrouwen opgenomen wordt. Het is een eeuwig niet aflatend universeel probleem.
Ce tableau nous rends conscient de la situation tragique des Syriens. Les femmes sont obligées de fuir et de mettre à l’ abri l’enfant : l’avenird’un peuple et de la famille . C’est un acte héroique dont toujours les femmes sont capables et qu’elles réalisent au risque de leurs vie.
Dieses Gemälde zeigt uns die erbärmliche Situation von Syrische Fluchtenden.Zwei Fauen versuchen das Kind, das Baby in Sicherheit zu bringen. Es ist ihre Zukunft. Das ist eine heroische Tat die fast immer wieder von Frauen in extrem schwierige Situationen aufgenommen wird.

This painting from 2014 says it all. When someone loses everything, because of war or a climate tragedy, it’s like standing in the purgatory. Lost in time and space. Ready to die or to be reborn in a brave new old world. Gabriëlla adds: “I tried to capture extreme loneliness, incomprehension and abandonnement. It’s like being naked in hell.”
