The exhibition is open 23-24 and 30 to 31 May 2015 Saturday and Sunday from 14 to 17h.
All the sculptures I have created through the years, as an interesting interlude by expressing with different materials what I would otherwise express through my paintings, can be seen here, some twenty of them, mainly small ones. A gripping variation with painting, a different medium.
I mostly find modern day throw-away materials quite worthless and I see this as a real challenge to get something within me, a feeling, a sensation, or fact, across. Not everything is suitable. Sometimes I leave it too, keep it for another day, when a usable idea lights up my spirit. Just a situation may trigger it. What you have not experienced, you cannot express either. It is a process.
My large sculptures are not represented here. Contemporary packaging material like mousse, cardboard in a functional pressed shape, a fabric, just cardboard I shape myself or small stones becomes a story, an emotion, a saying, a piece of wisdom.
