From October 11, 2015 until November 15,2015 Galerie NavArt (http://www.navart.be), Parklaan 60 in 9100 Sint-Niklaas will exhibit more than 20 paintings from Gabriêlla Cleuren of the series "Brave New Old Worlds".
The vernissage will happen on Sunday October 11, 2015 at 15:00 h.

These works are collected images, picked up from a very recent news, that the 21st century.
They are highly topical, but also very old. In terms of content. . They can be places by GOYA. 200 years ago.
Also at Daumier, Gericault , Delacroix and Boccione you find similar images fixing the spirit of their time into a critical picture. The similarity arises and is frightening.
What have humans learned from the past? To what extent are they evolved? Are they all powerless 'man' as Nietzsche calls it? Or will humans sink again on an animal level when conditions are available for that purpose?
These works are testimonies of it, lay bare the emotions of the time, repeating what happened in the past, already many times.
Is humanity not able to do better?
We can ask ourselves whether ‘a real human being’ can only be realised in a scientifical , technical way

The technique of this works is often based on computer printing, but in a free written form, and both intended to indicate the distortion of the time, as well as to express the breach of man.
